Hutchins Frequently Asked Questions
Is Hutchins closing permanently?
No. We are suspending manufacturing operations in California, but Hutchins is not closing. We are actively exploring options to resume manufacturing in the southern United States.
Can I still get my tool repaired?
Yes. Our Flat Rate Repair program continues, operated by Hutchins employees at our California repair facility. Repairs resume March 1, 2025. Please note that flat rate repairs will no longer include a new replacement pad for the time being.
How do I get my tool repaired?
We will be putting a Repair portal on our website. You will go there to log your repair and print out a repair tag to send in with your tool(s).
Where do I send my tool for repair?
Ship to:
Hutchins Mfg Co.
PO Box 5570
11151 Valley Blvd
El Monte, CA 91734
Is the repair pricing the same?
Yes, flat rate pricing remains unchanged.
What about warranty repairs?
Warranty repairs are also being handled at our repair facility. They still need to be processed through the repair portal and require proof of purchase included both in the portal and in the box with your tool.
Can I buy replacement pads?
Random orbital pads will be available starting April 2025. Other pads will come online soon after.
What about my existing order?
Existing orders will either be fulfilled or you will be contacted directly if fulfillment is not possible. Please be patient with us.
When will Hutchins resume full manufacturing?
We don't have a timeline to share yet. We are committed to continuing Hutchins' legacy and will provide updates as plans develop.
