Cover more ground with the Hutchins Model 3800-4 Orbital Longboard, built for marine and industrial professionals who demand speed, stability, and consistent results on larger surfaces. With its oversized 4½" x 16" pad, the 3800-4 delivers an impressive 72 square inches of sanding surface — nearly double the coverage of the standard longboard orbital (Model 3800).
The added surface area not only increases productivity but also enhances stability, making the tool smoother and easier to control. Powered by Hutchins’ perfected air-efficient motor and 5-point suspension system, it guarantees uniform, full-contact sanding on every pass.
For leveling, finishing, or prepping wide panels, the 3800-4 makes big jobs feel smaller — without sacrificing the quality or reliability Hutchins is known for.

Water/Wet Sanders
- Ideal for finishing and more delicate processing where heat is a concern. Also used to assist in dust control where vacuum systems are unavailable or unreasonable to equip.
- Our Water Sanders are equipped with a Patented "Thru-the-Pad" distribution system that enables a steady, regular flow of water to your surface. Most Models are equipped with a filtered 'water bell' that can be dropped into any source of clean water (like a 5-gallon bucket).
Speed Files
- Good for careful planing or finishing up blocking stages where you want that extra bit of control over your contours.
- Extremely popular is our PF-16 which is made from a firm plastic frame. Many customers like the rigid structure that gives just the perfect amount of flex when required.
- The AF-16 was featured in the movie, Shawshank Redemption in the last scene when Andy Dufrene sands his boat on the beach in Baja California.
